Aaliyah, born on January 16, 1979 in New York, was an American singer, actress, dancer and model. She died on August 25, 2001 in Marsh Harbour at the age of 22.

Aaliyah has been married to R. Kelly and was romantically involved with Jay-Z and Damon Dash.
