Zhang Yimou is dead

Zhang Yimou, born on November 14, 1951 in Xi'an, was a Chinese director, screenwriter and producer. He died on January 12, 2026 at the age of 74.

Zhang Yimou was romantically involved with Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li.
